Big Brothers Big Sisters Month – Supporter Update

September is Big Brothers Big Sisters month! We are so excited to get the word out about mentoring this month and raise awareness of the important intervention that mentoring is!

Through mentorship, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Muskoka provides a caring and consistent adult who builds a safe and trusting relationship that can enable young people to thrive, despite the challenges they face. BBBS Muskoka is a no-cost community program for young people who can benefit from an additional consistent relationship with an adult.

BBBS Muskoka believes all young people deserve access to personalized supportive, skill-building opportunities and our BBBS Mentors provide just that.

Through BBBS mentoring, young people are provided with a caring, supportive adult who is ready to challenge their growth, expand possibilities, express care and provide support so that a young person is positioned to thrive. At BBBS Muskoka, we believe that all young people deserve the right to reach their full potential, despite any barriers they may face. We are committed to reaching the young people who need our support and we work hard to offer our no-cost services to families in our communities.

Throughout Big Brothers Big Sisters Month we will be doing outreach throughout our community to help get the word out about our programs and let people know about the important work that we do!

As we celebrate Big Brothers Big Sisters month we wanted to share with you, our supporters, some more details about our successes over the last few months! We have put together an update on new matches, recent match graduations, and the need for volunteer mentors in Muskoka.
